Aneha Namaskarams

Today Yen Arangan gave me the golden opportunity

of reading your Great work “PESUM ARANGAN”.

There are no enough words to describe HIS Great Love

towards me.

From today morning itself I was confused regarding my

life,During my evening poojai I was asking HIM to give an

answer.

I don’t know what to do. At about 9.30 PM I was just going

through the net. For the past few weeks I didn’t see our site.

So, today I just opened our site. To my surprise I saw Your

work.

At a stretch I read all the 52 Episodes. When I finshed it was

12.30 midnight. But that is not the point.

The confusion was erased from my mind.

HE has answered almost all my questions through YOUR Great Work.

The name is very apt — PESUM ARANGAN. Yes,HE had spoken with me.

adiyan like to share a great experience with devarir, before 4 years swamy krishnapremi gave a satsangh on sri ranga mahatmiyam in coimbatore which also made adiyan so close to namnperumal in that swamy gave a lecture on sri ranganayaga gita(told by  namperumal itself) which tells abt do’s and dont’s of a srivaishnavan.       my humble request at devarir feet is to write a detail note on ranganayaka gita in pasum arangan(as arangan has told the same)
lot of vaishnavas will get to know and try to follow the same.

Dear Battar Swamin

Srirangapankajam is excellent. Each subject is competing with other subjects. The poem by Sri R.V.Swamy is thought-provoking

Dear Srivaishnava perunthakaiyeer!

My day begins, as to many of you, only on logging on to “Srirangapankajam”.  If on the first year, the Bhattar attracted all of us with the events of Srirangam daily, in this second year he  mesmerizes everybody with his wonderful command of the Tamil and  matchless story telling style.  While narrating the plight of Sri Kooraththazvar and peria nambi , as the author was, we are also choaked with tears rolling in our cheeks. Pesum Arangan(பேச௠ம௠அரங௠கன௠) padiyaathaar piRavaathaarE  is the only comment adiyen often makes to my friends not visiting the site. Thanks to Dr Sadagopan Swami who first introduced this site to all of us.  Adiyen was Blessed by Padhukai to share my little knowledge in Tamil computing with Sri Bhattar swamin  and adiyen thank him for accepting my prayer to switch over to Tamil which makes us  all to enjoy Pesum Arangan

My Dear Swamin,

Adiyen’s Sastanka Namaskarams.

Adiyen wanted to write to you soon after the start of `Emperumanar Vibhavam” in Pesum Arangan. Adiyen had the bhagyam  to go to Tirunelveli in the first week of June and had `sevai’ of Nava Thirupati Perumal, Vanamamali, Thirukurungudi, Melkote, Thondanur and Sri Rangapatnam.

We also had the bhagyam of getting the blessings of three Jeeyar swamigal, viz Sri Ramanuja Jeeyar swamigal at `Bhavishya acharyan sanadhi at Alwar Tirunagari and Vanamalai Jeeyar swamigal and Tirugurungudi Jeeyar swamigal.

Though Adiyen’s first love being `Arangan’ at Srirangam, I had seen him only once so far. (Adiyen got my name of  Nam Perumal, because my Patti and Thatha had returned from Srivilliputtur and Srirangam, just before my mother gave birth, and my Patti named adiyen as Rangarajan). But  Rangan does not consider this at all and never calls us to Srirangam, (Adiyen has this grudge always)  and sends us for the fourth time to Tirunelveli. Probably, Rangan wanted adiyen to know about Alwar and Udayavar first and come to Him. This, adiyen did not realise on our first trip, subsequently every time adiyen and my wife  Smt. Mala went to Nava Thirupati, Vanamamali and Thirugurungudi, we  felt, Alwar attracted us as much as he attracted Madhurakaviar as how he brought him  all the way from North.  We also felt Udayavar’s abundant blessings at Thiru vatta parai (Thirugurungudi) where Udayavar had Vaishnanambi as his shisya. Later, we felt so much when we reached Thondanur and had savai  at Yoga Narasimhar’s temple.  How can I describe Narasimhar’s extreme `Karunai pravakam’.  Narasimhar blessed us with the same `Thandum” to drive away all evils, which earlier Udayavar used to drive out the `Bramarakshasha’ to get away from the King’s daughter.  We had the bhagyam to have savai of Udayavar in Adi Seshan rupam. I had never seen Udayavar in Adi Seshan rupam earlier, adiyen had it for the first time at Thondanur. That is the place from where Udayavar had a debate with 1000 people answering everyone  with his 1000 heads!

(At this point when adiyen was writing this mail, adiyen got a call from Dr A. Sivathanu Pillai, Chief Adviser in DRDO and CEO BrahMos which makes cruise missiles). I went one floor up to meet him. While talking he said that he is to go to Trichy on 30th  July to visit various colleges. I told him to go to Srirangam. He said `yes. we are going there definetly to get the blessings of the lord on my 61st birthday. I will get `chandanam’ for you from there’.)

How can I praise my Rangan. Adiyen has totally lost for any words to praise HIM. On having only a slight   grudge (Rangan does not call adiyen to Srirangam)  Rangan calls me through someone to say `do not worry, I will send you chandanam’.

Let it happen as Rangan desires.

At Thirugurungudi, Adiyen touched the stones of the compound wall of the temple, which came up out of `Thirumangaialwar’s kainkaryam. Adiyen came back to Delhi, and Thirumangaialwar has infused inside me.

This is all due to your anugraham through Pesum Arangan, which opened up the flood gates of bakthi. Adiyen’s gratefulness also to Velukudi swamigal, without him adiyen would not be knowing how to do bakthi to Perumal. Adiyen wished to tell you all this has made me to grow this much, when my friend told  me that he is going to Tirupathi. Adiyen wanted to write a letter to Thiruvenkatamudayan immediately. The following is the content of the letter:

Letter addressed to`Appan Govindan’. In that letter Adiyen wanted to express my happiness,on seeing Him the way He went to meet the poor people in slums earlier, now going places after places to meet his bakthas. For all that He did for my alwars and acharyas, how can adiyen thank Him adequately. Adiyen did not find anything suitable to do to thank Govindan, but to write 4 pasurams of Namalwar, Kulasekaralwar and Thirumangaialwar.

Adiyen also expressed my wish in the letter to see all the Bhattar Swamigal doing kainkaryam in all His abode, should be looked after very well without any `kurai’ and adiyen should see the happiness of the Bhattar swamigal’s heart, would reflect in His `thirumugam’.  Adiyen also requested Perumal to keep in this Jenma this `bhulokam itself as vaikuntam’ for all the other employees doing Kainkaryam in the temple, the bakthas who come to Him, and those who think constantly about Him, to offer His bakthi to grow more and more, to do more and more kainkaryam for Him and to find all the happiness in that.

Adiyen wrote  Him to accept me as His slave.

Swamin, it is adiyen wish to submit the same  to NamPerumal  also through you.  Kindly take this to Him and may ask Him whether He is pleased with this slave. I am waiting very eagarly for Rangan’s message.                                                                                                                                                        Adiyen,

S.Rangarajan  – Rangarajan Seshadri sesranga@gmail.com

P.s Adiyan wants to meet the Elialwar, about whom Swamin is writing. Undoubtedly he is a mahatma, and it is great to know about him. If swamin could give his address, adiyen would like to meet him when we visit south.

Myself belongs to Arayar family daughter of Arayar S. Varadharajan. My father often told me Thirukainkaryam of “Thondaradipodi Alwar” is so pure . Likewise ur Kaikaryam reg Srirangapankajam and Pesum Arangan is a most respectable one. In my view, you are acting like a bridge between Lord Rangaranatha and his devotees. Pranams to you.

Adiyen Swami Pesum Arangan is indeed going n a Streaming Direction. Thyagaraja’s Krithis on West Chitra St singing is a great new news to us. One can also see that Thyagaraja’s Krithis is stonescripted in Renga Renga Gopuram ..The Main entrance of the Temple. Namperumal for each IN – OUT from the Temple even today , stands near the stonescriptions and which is a great honour to the saint poet. O Renga Sayee, Sudha Murare, Raju Vettale.. are the three in the Srirangam Pancha Ratna Krithis from Saint Thyagaraja. As u told, One should understand that, Darshan of Namperumal is not Dharsan of a GOD. But rather it is seeing a KING. God can be seen if we wish.. but KING can be seen only if HE(KING) wishes. And there are so many protocols infact will be there to see a king. Once we see the KING (Archai Form of Namperumal) we can FEEL the GOD(Enternal SOUL.. PaRaMAthMA). I fully agree with your comments that one should not feel bad in case they face hazzards during Namperumal’s darshan. His darshan is more important than the hazzards. When HIS SMILE take us all the hazzards of our life away, then why can’t the darshan Hazzards.?? Dasan Rajadesikan

Adiyen Swami This paragraphing past and near past is nice. Kulesekaralwar and Auditor are similar in one sense by the way that both forgone their wealth and came srirangam. Where n Srirangam he resides. Pl take pics of such Kainkarya Karas and put .. All know Kuleskara Alwar. But you alone can make Auditor’s fame come out. Note: We can feel your direct colocial language in the text. It feels as if you are interacting with us directly. In one way it is good. But anyway for Web publishing, we may replace . Dear SwAmin,
In yesterday’s article there is a refrence to the older sister of Lakshmi…it is my opinion that in a site dedicated to Arangan, who is the abode of SrI, such words should not be used. Even in my controversial articles I don’t use any negative words because the readers should not get wrong signals. Words have power not because they are magical, but due to human psychology..this being the case, it would ne nice if your psots had a positive, life-affirming quality. Repeatedly stressing on sins and how the Lord will forgive them, is a bit unhealthy…as there is a hance that some people who read the article will take it as a license to do wrong things as the Lord will forgive them anyway. We say these things to someone who is repenting, so that he doesn;t torture himself for having done something wrong…in the end, becoming a better person is the goal…and it needs to be done by turrning inwards…by being honest with oneself..not by asking the Lord to forgive our sins.
If you look at the vedAntic view, whatever one may do, each karma will definitely lead to some result…only those who have renounced sanga, kartritva and phala, will not be affected, but others will feel happy /sad according to their experiences (I think the pramAnA, if you need one is Srimad Bhagwad GitA, Chapter 18, verse 12). So the key thing is to cultivate the right attitude to worldly action, and not to expect PerumAL to do anything for us.
Instead of making people adore Arangan because He is to be adored, these articles may make them come to wrong beliefs about Him….wrong in the sense that they do not result in true svarUpa-jnAnA.

One interesting thing about TOndaradippodigal is that he was a naishtika brahmachAri, and he suffered a lapse. Nowaccording to SribAshyam, this is an unpardonable offence, and rAmAnujA declares that one who has lapsed from such a state will never attain the self. However we find that although VipranArAyaNA was pretty much seduced by Devadevi, he gets redeemed and is declared an AzhwAr.
His verses have a mild misogynistic (misogyny = hatred for women) slant…which have nothing to do with the way women are, but more to do with how he perceived them after the Devadevi episode.
Seen from a detached analytical point of view, it would be better to focus on Arangan’s more, non-human-like qualities…love, kindness, being friendly etc are human qualities….but being the Atman of all chetanAchetana entities is not. Being perfect is not a human thing. Being changeless is not human. So maybe it would make your pieces more interesting if you focussed on Arangan as the abode of perfection, beauty and truth.

I am not arguing against talking of His saulabhyam…but look at what has happened after so many centuries of doing that. Can you pick out a few hundred people who will love the Lord even if He were to one day say that He will send us all to Hell.
I personally wouldn’t mind…as for me PerumAL alone matters. I am not saying I am better than other people, but most people are definitely missing out the point of the giTA and rAmAnujA’s vision. Religion is being practiced wrongly, and someone like you who has the experience and enterprise to manage a site on PerumAL, should use this to correct the trend.

Dhanyosmi…apologies for any offensive material in the mail writtten above.

Sri: Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha Swami thiruvadi thamaraigalil anega thendan samarpivithu cheyyum vinnappam. Sorry to interrupt. The following event, as far as I heard and as found in kinchitkaram calender some years before, happened at Kattumannar koil. while nathamunigal was doing kainkaryam at the feet of mannanar at Kattu mannarkoil, some srivaishnava yathri recited the ARAVAMUDHAE 10 songs at mannanar sannidhi. Having heard in the last song as OR AYIRATHIL IPPATHUM, Nadhamunigal inferred that there should be 1000 songs. So there ARAVAMUDHAN has been the Dravida Shruthi Darshakan. Nathamunigal then went insearch of those prabhandams and got all as swami verily stated. Kindly forgive me if I am wrong and enlighten us the right way. Sarva Apacharan Kshamasva Adiyen Ramanuja Dasan, RAJAGOPALAN

Swamy, I am glad that Srirangapankajam is serving the spritural needs of human beings, especially Vashanvaites throught the world. This helps a great deal for people like us who stay away from India to be in touch with our traditions that Vishistadvaitham is alive through sincere efforts of individuals like swamy. The great feature of this site is cristal clear picture of deities which we can not get elsewhere. It adds to the desire of going and worshipping immediately to the divyadesams and present us with feelings of worshipping at the divyadesams mentioned and chance to get the graces of Ranganatha,Azhwars and Acharya purushas by being in our place. In short this site proves God is omnipotent and amnipresent that in every corner of the world Lord Ranganatha and Acharyas are taken by this site. Really divine service. Pray Lord Ranganatha to provide Swamy with all facilities and katasham to continue this divine service. T.A.Elayalvar, Sirupuliyur Swamy Dwitheeya Kumarar, Abudhabi, UAE.
